We are excited to announce that our sister sanctuary in Plettenberg Bay - Jukani Wildlife Sanctuary - is yet again open to the public.
A true primate sanctuary
MonkeylandKZN is a free-roaming multi-specie primate sanctuary near Ballito, KwaZulu-Natal. It's mission is to educate and foster greater understanding of our primate cousins and the threats and challenges they are facing.
Free roaming primates
The majority of primates living in the wild do so in large family groups. We care for rescued primates and do all we can to give them as natural a life as possible in the habitat we have access to.
Support Monkeyland KZN
You can support our cause by visiting the sanctuary, visiting our shop, volunteering, or donating money or food for the animals to help preserve our sanctuary!
Award-winning Sanctuaries

About Primates
The primate family can be devided into two different groups and then into five subgroups, which encompass all 234 species of primates. To begin with, we need to define what it is exactly that makes an animal part of the primate family and how these physical characteristics assist the animal in its day-to-day life.
